The story behind RARAD
I am military veteran, dedicated 30 years working for Estonian Defense Forces, the last 10 years at Headquarters as a Chef of Armament. My responsibilities have been the planning, development, negotiating, acquisition, handling, analysis advising deciders in armament and munitions. During the years I have had long experience in working with NATO and EU agencies and armament working groups.
My hobby is taking part in practical and tactical shooting competitions, but my passion is to develop and improve weapons for military use and sport shooting. I believe that state of the art technology has come to stay in the weapon industry, allowing us to implement sophisticated 3D printed components or electro optical targeting devices that are making users faster and more accurate.
After years of experience in the military sector I retired and established my own company RARAD, which means shortly Risto’s Armament Advisory. Knowing the main foreign and local defense industry players, I am aware of the market situation and developments in the field of armament. In addition to my vast experience and varied skills, I feel I would be able to offer new ideas and a fresh perspective to your organization. We can make it happen!
